There are so many things to see and do in London, to the extent that we sometimes get caught about where do we start. I'll be highlighting the few notable ones which is a must go for every traveller's first visit to London.
This is one of the popular icons of London and where the royal family of United Kingdom resides. To see the changing of guards, remember to be there early to get a good spot as the path towards the palace is always packed with crowds. Check out the timing for the Buckingham Palace Changing of Guards and the weather forecast before making a trip to the palace to prevent disappointment.
London Bridge is falling down... falling down... falling down... Wait! This is not London Bridge. This is Tower Bridge! LOL! Being one of the landmarks of London city, it is basically a must-see. For an added experience, purchase tickets to walk the glass bridge at the top and visit the Victorian Engine Rooms to understand the engineering behind this magnificant structure. To capture the interesting sight of the Tower Bridge opening up to may way for ships, plan your visit by checking out the Bridge Lift Times. Definitely a must-go, must-see.
I personally love the fish and chips by the take away shop which is located near the bridge!
If there's one shopping mall that must be visited, that would be Harrods. It's basically an "atas" shopping mall that is the equivalence of Singapore's Robinsons mall. Items are of recognisable brands and certaninly not cheap. This mall is located in the region of Knightsbridge. Along the streets, you will easily catch eye of expensive sports cars.
P.S. There is a Burger and Lobster outlet located at the 5th floor of Harvey Nichols department store, which is right beside Harrods. You can consider heading there for lunch/dinner!
The Piccadilly Circus is one of the happening places in London city. It is nice to hang out here, catch a muscial and grab a coffee or beer. There are many muscial tickets for sale here. Check out some places whereby you can grab cheap musical tickets! If you ask me, my personal recommendations would be Avenue Q, Les Miserable, Mamma Mia and Wicked!
For museum junkies, the top 2 museums which are a must go would be National Gallery and National History Museum. Do be informed that although admissions are free, you may be approached to make donations to the museum!
If you are considering day trips, book a bus tour that brings you to view the Stonehenge or take tube out to the outskirts of Greenwich to visit the Royal Observatory. These scenic places are something different from the husle and bustle of London. Or, do some shopping at Bicester Village, located just one hour drive away from London city. This village is a shopping heaven for peeps looking for United Kingdom's luxury brands.

3) Big Ben and the Palace of Westminister
Yet another landmark of London, we have... the BIG BEN. This iconic clock tower is so majestic that it's staring right into your face the moment you exit Westminister Underground station. This tower stands at 96m tall and has clocks in all 4 directions. I advise you to come during sunset hours so as to capture this natural gold shimmer on the tower!

We fly all the way to London just to see Chinatown?!?! Seriously? Well it is the budding area for the Chinese population in London and one of the best places to eat the very famous Four Seasons London Duck and many numerous dimsum selections. During Chinese New Year period, there is also a festival and Lion Dance performances in this area to celebrate this joyous occasion.

If you love to explore via walking, you can follow our tracks to walk from Gloucester Road to Kensington to Buckingham Palace to National Gallery to Piccadilly Circus. It will take about 6 hours for you to walk this route comfortably.
